Google surprised Wear OS fans today when it announced it was dealing with an updated variation of the os with assistance from Samsung. As part of the collaboration, Samsung’s future wearables will ship with that new software application rather of Tizen, its existing smartwatch OS. The statement resulted in some short speculation that the company might also phase out Tizen in favor of Android TV. As first reported by Protocol, Samsung has now closed down that idea.
“Tizen still is the default platform for our smart TVs moving forward,” a spokesperson for the business told Engadget.
Not a surprise here that Samsung does not have extreme changes planned. The company is among the greatest and most effective manufacturers in the space, and the TELEVISION market is a lot various from the one for wearables. The os a TV comes with does notaspect in a lot of consumers’ buying choices. Size, show quality and, most of all, price play a lot more considerable role in those purchases. All products recommended by Engadget are picked by our editorial group, independent of our parent company.
