Spotify rolling out new search filters for iOS and Android – 9to5Mac

Spotify for iOS and Android is getting a little update to make search much easier with brand-new filters. The change is concerning both complimentary and Premium subscribers.

Spotify states the new search filters are presenting starting today and will make it more seamless to find the music or podcasts you’re trying to find.

With an easy search, you can explore the entire world of music and podcasts connected to the episodes, tracks, and artists you already love. Want to expand your skills in the kitchen? Type “cooking” into the search bar to check out curated supper playlists, podcast episodes with your preferred chefs and foods and even find user-created playlists for your next meal.

The new search filters include: Top Results, Artists, Songs, Playlists, Albums and Podcasts & & Shows, Episodes, and Profiles.

Apple Music has the exact same, and recently, the filter function came back to the App Store too to make search much easier.

As revealed above, you’ll discover the new Spotify search filters right below the search bar, give a tap on one to refine your search engine result.

Spotify says the update is presenting starting today (seem like server-side modification), with all free and Premium users seeing the function “in the coming weeks.”
