Supermassives third Dark Pictures Anthology horror House of Ashes gets new teaser trailer – Eurogamer.net

Ahead of gameplay reveal next week.

We’re 2 video games into designer Supermassive’s Dark Pictures Anthology scary series, with a third – entitled House of Ashes – on the not-too-distant horizon. Supermassive states it’ll be revealing more on this most current instalment next week, but first, there’s a brand-new teaser trailer.House of Ashes,

as befits the Dark Pictures anthology format, offers up a new standalone story with its own particular take on fear. Gone is the nautical scary of the series’ very first getaway, Man of Medan, and the time-hopping witch-y fear of last year’s Little Hope, changed by something intending to be a little grittier based upon what’s been revealed so far.Set in Iraq, 2003, House of Ashes focuses on a military system which comes under fire from Iraqi forces in the region of the Zagros mountains.

The Dark Pictures Anthology: House of Ashes – Teaser Trailer.

“The resulting firefight”, explains publisher Bandai Namco, “triggers an earth trembling where both sides fall under the ruins of a buried Sumerian temple. With all interaction severed, our lead characters are trapped in a scary underworld they need to browse to escape, uninformed that something evil and ancient has awakened in the shadows and has found a brand-new victim to hunt.”

Supermassive’s latest teaser, above, is more of a state of mind piece than anything, so if you’re searching for something a bit more revealing, you can cast your eyes back to the House of Ashes post-credits teaser discovered in last year’s Little Hope. An appropriate gameplay reveal is set for next Thursday, 27th May, at 5pm BST/9am PDT, which need to offer our best appearance yet. There’s no

release date for House of Ashes at present however it’s coming to Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, PS5, and PC later on “this year”.
