Path Of Exile 2 has been quiet since it was revealed in late 2019, due in part to some delays brought on by Covid-19. Now the free-to-play action RPG follow up has resurfaced with a new trailer and a brand-new twenty minute walkthrough.
Here’s a trailer, which reveals a taste of the video game’s 2nd act and its fight.
I’m no Path Of Exile professional, so the very first thing that leaps out to me here is how much prettier is than the very first video game. Path Of Exile has actually had routine updates however remains a 8 year-old video game, at this point. It’s great to see swarms of things pass away versus high resolution textures.
The full twenty-minute walkthrough (ingrained below) discusses more about the structure of the game’s second act (of a prepared seven), and reveals its brand-new spear and crossbow weapon classes. Spears grant you mobility skills, letting you dash into fight for damage perks, while crossbows grant attacks abilities you can customise with bolt ability gems. In both circumstances, the combat looks impactful, and the visual upgrade relatively hasn’t forced Grinding Gear Games to reduce the number of opponents you’ll be battling at one time.
Provided its length, there are more information in the video than I can fairly call out in the post. I especially want to use the permafrost bolts in the crossbow, so I can then shatter opponents with a 2nd hit. And I love the rocks at around 6 minutes into the video that turn into spiders and roll to attack the gamer.
Path Of Exile 2 is due to go into beta at some point in 2022, which suggests it might in theory end up going head to head with Diablo 4.
