Listen up Internet, we have a new supercar to inform you about. Yep, another one …
Anyway, please say a warm and not too sceptical welcome to the rather bonkers-looking FV Frangivento Sorpasso. Pretty rad isn’t it? Just have a look at that busy rear end– we might need a lie down.
FV Frangivento is based in Turin and its co-founder and art director Giorgio Pirolo states the Sorpasso was motivated by cars like the Ferrari Dino and the Lamborghini Miura. Hmmm. Do not assume this is all talk and vapourware though; the first examples will obviously be provided to their brand-new owners in Monte Carlo and the United Arab Emirates by the end of July. Crikey.
More information, then. There’ll be two various variations of the Sorpasso– known as the Stradale and the GTXX. Both will get a V10 engine and all-wheel drive, however the Stradale (shown above) will be naturally aspirated with 602bhp, whilst the GTXX will get GT3-inspired aero and a supercharger for 799bhp. It’ll still be completely road-legal though.
Both will weigh around 1,300 kg thanks to carbon fibre building, and the GTXX will manage 0-62mph in 2.9 seconds with a 214mph top speed.
We haven’t been revealed the interior since yet, but FV says it’ll have lots of leather and Alcantara, and that it’ll be geared up with something called an ‘Avatar Driving System’ that apparently functions as “an intelligent co-driver, with customisable human functions, with whom it is possible to interact utilizing natural language simply like with a travel companion.” Sounds a little dismal, doesn’t it?
Apparently, there’ll be relatively significant customisation alternatives too, with consumers able to work together with the stylists to develop their own vehicle. Oh, and FV is promising shipment simply 150 days after your order. Partners and providers consist of Brembo, Sparco, OZ and Pirelli to call however a couple of.
We’ll endeavour to get you some more info once it’s readily available, but for now let us understand your ideas about the Sorpasso in the remarks listed below …
