If nobody informed you about the brand-new four-wheel drive system, you ‘d think Volkswagen hadn’t really troubled with the Mk8 Golf R at all. That’s why this new Golf R still uses the EA888 2.0-litre turbo engine that,

it seems, just declines to die(it was first introduced back in 2007, although it’s now in evo4 guise having actually been continuously upgraded during its decade and a half in production) and, simply like the previous model throughout its twilight years, the only transmission is a seven-speed DSG and you have to put up with five doors. It still looks fairly discreet for a cars and truck with such giant-killing potential(on the ideal roadway, at least), other than that the Mk8 Golf is usually a fussier and less easily handsome car than the design that came prior to it. That’s a Golf R. That fact alone should make the Golf R a much more involving and less aggravating automobile at and around the limitation of grip. We’ll come back to that in a minute. There’s no doubting this is a very quick cars and truck, but the powertrain feels so unstressed you really long for more power still.Volkswagen hasn’t suddenly forgotten how these automobiles are primarily utilized, which is why it remains uncomplicated in regular driving, quiet and fine-tuned at speed and comfy simply to be in.
