Stadia’s Phil Harrison commended SG&E devs for ‘great progress’ days before killing the studio – 9to5Google

In the e-mail, Harrison applauded the “terrific development” made by SG&E studios to date, saying that Google would verify the “SG&E investment envelope quickly,” which would notify technique and objectives for the department in 2021. Apparently, SG&E employees only found out of the studio closure at practically the very same time as the public did. Maybe the most frustrating detail in this report is the impact the closure is having on the 150+ designers Google worked with for SG&E. Google formerly pointed out that it would find brand-new positions for displaced employees in other parts of the business, but obviously, the company is having a hard time to do so as the employees hired have specialized ability sets that other positions can’t take benefit of.

In the e-mail, Harrison commended the “fantastic progress” made by SG&E studios to date, stating that Google would confirm the “SG&E financial investment envelope shortly,” which would notify strategy and objectives for the division in 2021. Apparently, SG&E employees only learned of the studio closure at nearly the very same time as the public did. Possibly the most discouraging information in this report is the effect the closure is having on the 150+ developers Google employed for SG&E.
