Stadia’s Phil Harrison commended SG&E devs for ‘great progress’ days before killing the studio – 9to5Google

In the email, Harrison commended the “excellent progress” made by SG&E studios to date, stating that Google would verify the “SG&E financial investment envelope quickly,” which would notify strategy and goals for the division in 2021. Apparently, SG&E workers only found out of the studio closure at almost the same time as the public did. Perhaps the most discouraging information in this report is the effect the closure is having on the 150+ designers Google employed for SG&E.

Obviously, SG&E staff members only found out of the studio closure at nearly the very same time as the public did. Perhaps the most aggravating detail in this report is the effect the closure is having on the 150+ developers Google hired for SG&E. Google previously mentioned that it would discover brand-new positions for displaced staff members in other parts of the business, but obviously, the business is having a hard time to do so as the staff members employed have specialized skill sets that other positions can’t take advantage of.
