Larian Studios revealed the Early Access release date of Baldur’s Gate 3 during a livestream called The Panel From Hell in 2015, a format the developer is planning to repeat today in The Panel From Hell 2. This time, it will discuss a range of updates on the state of Baldur’s Gate 3 and the upcoming spot 4, “including the most significant patch note ever created in the intense pits of Larian”, and will likewise include “a peek at freshly enhanced cinematics, Tieflings, cows and spells”.
Spot 4 is coming quickly, and like the previous spot it will break your savegame unless you hop over into the beta branch. Which is easy enough to do, if you’re playing on Steam. Right-click Baldur’s Gate 3 in your Steam library, select properties and after that the betas tab, opt into the spot 3 branch and your existing playthrough will stay safe. If you’re playing on Stadia, regrettably you’re out of luck.
The Panel From Hell 2 will be hosted by Larian’s innovative director Swen Vincke and Wizards of the Coast’s principal guidelines designer of Dungeons & & Dragons, Jeremy Crawford, and will feature different guests. As a climax, there’s going to be a live stream of “the most recent content from Baldur’s Gate 3’s greatest upgrade yet.”
