The Sinking City returns to Steam, but the legal battle isnt over yet – PC Gamer

The whole thing went before French courts to arrange out, and while that procedure is still being dealt with, Nacon released a statement today declaring an interim victory: “The Court ruled that Frogwares had actually ended the contract in a ‘manifestly illegal’ way and, as a result, bought, as a ‘precautionary step, the continuation of the agreement (…) up until its term or up until a choice is made on the breach of this contract and ordered Frogwares Ireland to refrain from any action on the breach of this contract and ordered Frogwares Ireland to refrain from any action that impedes this extension. The Sinking City is a singleplayer investigative experience game, so it’s not clear what sort of “online stakes” Nacon might be referring to– it could be some aspect of DLC performance (reward missions, cosmetics, and other in-game items are all offered for separate purchase), or it may likewise be nothing more than generic “not our fault” boilerplate.
