Shortly after the PlayStation shop appeared to spill the beans, Bethesda verified that Deathloop, Arkane’s Swinging Sixties-inspired game of assassination celebrations that never ever end, will be out on May 21, 2021.
Deathloop has to do with a male called Colt who’s caught in a time loop on an island called Blackreef. It’s a bit like Groundhog Day, except everyone has guns and the only way out is to eliminate 8 targets spread throughout the island before the day is done. There’s more than simply firepower in play, though: As we saw in an earlier gameplay trailer, Colt comes to the fight with some extremely Dishonored-like supernatural abilities.
The downside is that the island is filled with other individuals who actually appear to be having fun, therefore will do whatever they can to keep him from ending the celebration. Primary amongst them is Julianna Blake, the protector of Blackreef– a knowledgeable assassin who’s as excited to protect the time loop as Colt is to end it. To that end, Deathloop will make it possible for players to take on that villainous role and “get into” other gamers’ campaigns.Deathloop on PC is offered for pre-purchase now through the Bethesda.net launcher, and is” coming quickly”to Steam.
