MediaTek unveils Dimensity 700, a 7nm chipset with 5G modem – GSMArena.com news – GSMArena.com

The most crucial component is the 5G modem. It supports provider aggregation which enables quicker connections (up to 2.77 Gbps downlink speeds) and seamless handover in between 5G cells. The CPU of the Dimensity 700 is made up of two Cortex-A76 cores running at 2.2 GHz (slightly faster than 720’s huge CPU )and 6 Cortex-A55 cores at 2.0 GHz.

The brand-new chip can drive 1080p+ shows with 90Hz refresh rate, though its GPU is an ARM Mali-G57 MC2, down from the G57 MC3 discovered inside the 720. The Dimensity 700 is restricted to 1080p resolution for video capture, while the 720 goes up to 4K, which makes it more suitable for mid-rangers.
