Sackboy: A Big Adventure is obviously being available in hot for next week’s PlayStation 5 launch, and will not deliver with online cooperative multiplayer, according to an upgrade from the game’s design director.
“We’ve made the difficult decision to postpone the full online multiplayer functionality within Sackboy: A Big Adventure,” Ned Waterhourse from developer Sumo Digital said on the PlayStation Blog. “The team have been working hard to make sure that online is the absolute best experience it can be for players and we simply require a little bit more time to get it right so you can enjoy it to the max with your buddies and family.”
Waterhouse says that online multiplayer will be added to Sackboy: A Big Adventure “by end of 2020.” That update will likewise include cross-generation multiplayer for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, and video game conserve transfers from PS4 to PS5.
