It was just last month the Kingdom Hearts director, Tetsuya Nomura, was saying there were currently”no particular plans”to bring more games in this specific series to the Nintendo Switch, after the release of Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory. At the time, however, he did mention how he still found the Switch an appealing gadget and revealed how it was possible for another video game of his to make the dive to Nintendo’s hybrid platform. Now, following a recent interview with Nintendo Dream, it
‘s thought Nomura might be teasing something else for the Switch. Here’s precisely what he said at the end of the interview, after an exchange with Masanobu Suzui from Indieszero( translation thanks to Oni_Dino):
Suzui: It was an unusual opportunity for you to appear in a Nintendo Dream article with a Kingdom Hearts title that you were associated with. Nomura: I’m sure I’ll be back in the not too far-off future. Nomura previously said Square Enix thought about porting the mainline Kingdom Hearts tothe Switch but found it to be”technically difficult”. So if there is something else en route, it might not necessarily be connected to this series. What else would you like to see Nomura give the Switch? Share your theories and ideas down below.
