Super Nintendo World will open its doors in Japan next spring – Engadget

Nintendo’s amusement park was already expected to be open ahead of the Tokyo Summer Olympics, but like the video games themselves, that strategy was pressed back due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Now, Super Nintendo World is set to open in the spring of 2021, again prior to the re-scheduled Olympics, the video gaming business has revealed (through The Verge).

Super Nintendo World will be a “life-size, living video game,” according to Nintendo, with “modern flights, interactive locations, dining establishments and stores, all including Nintendo’s most popular characters and games.” You’ll get a “power up band” park pass that will let you gain access to numerous experiences and, via a smart device, battle managers and gather coins.
