John Wick Hex Brings Fast-Paced Strategy To Switch This December – Nintendo Life

John Wick Hex, an action-oriented technique video game based upon the John Wick franchise, will launch on Nintendo Switch on 4th December, it’s been revealed (thanks, Gematsu).

Created in close cooperation with the innovative groups behind the films, the video game is explained as “fight-choreographed chess brought to life as a computer game”. It’s busy, with gamers needing to make quick decisions and pick every action and attack they make, and originally launched on PC back in October 2019.

Including a distinct mix of strategic time-based action, John Wick Hex catches the feel of the tactical fight from the films and blurs the line in between the method and action computer game categories. Carry out well and advance in the main story mode to open new weapons, suit alternatives and locations. Each weapon alters the tactics you’ll use and the manner in which you’ll play. Ammunition is reasonably simulated and finite, so time your reloads and take advantage of weapons you scavenge on the task.

Experience an initial brand-new story set prior to the events of the movies which sees John on a desperate objective to rescue Winston and Charon from an unsafe brand-new enemy seeking his birthright. This story is brought to life by the world class voice talents of Ian McShane and Lance Reddick, repeating their iconic roles from the films, and voice acting legend Troy Baker, joining the stellar cast as the video game’s eponymous bad guy “Hex.” John Wick Hex compliments the design of the films with a special graphic noir art style and an initial score by prominent author Austin Wintory.

Our friends over at Push Square reviewed the PS4 variation of the game in May this year, applauding its “tight, snappy gameplay” and “cool art direction,” while being left not impressed at particular situations which seem like they require unwanted experimentation.

If you’re a fan of the franchise and are ready to put up with the odd niggle or two, make certain to keep an eye out for this one when it drops on the Switch eShop later on this year.
