Speaking prior to shooting started, Paddy said: “It’s incredible, this challenge we’re doing today, we’re investing 24 hours in our vehicles, so we’re not permitted out.
Eagle-eyed fans found the presenters outside Rigby’s Chippy in Deane, Bolton College and along the borders of town.
The speakers signed autographs for fans and presented for selfies prior to leaping into their cars, although Paddy did have a little bit of problem getting his cars and truck started, to the amusement of fans.
For the obstacle, Paddy drove a Telsa, Freddie was given a Volvo and Chris remained in a BMW.
” We’re going on a tour of Bolton. We’re driving onto Bolton Market, and we’re driving onto numerous places that I can’t tell you yet.
” Bur it’s good, I would enjoy to take them in Bolton Museum.
On the day of filming, crowds collected at Le Mans Crescent to see the trio triggered on their difficulty.
” They have not seen throughout the town yet. This is the start.”
The video camera team needed to do several takes of the trio driving round Le Mans Crescent, prior to they set off to explore the remainder of the town.
Bolton will be striking individuals’s TV screens on Sunday night as the Top Gear episode filmed in the district will be aired on BBC One.
In the episode, which will be relayed at 8pm, presenters Paddy McGuinness, Freddie Flintoff and Chris Harris take to the streets of Paddy’s home town for a gruelling 24 hour challenge.
The places which made the last cut consist of Newport Street, Bolton Markets, Three Sisters Race Track, Le Mans Crescent, the University of Bolton Stadium and a Texaco fuel station and Instavolt website in Hindley.
The episode will be revealed on BBC One tomorrow night at 8pm.
When they filmed the episode back in March, they remained in their automobiles while visiting a few of the town’s landmarks – Paddy even traded with stall holders at Bolton Market from the comfort of his driving seat.
On the day Paddy took Freddie and Chris to all his preferred spots and paid a see Auburn Street where he grew up.
Inspired by the famous Le Mans race, the speakers were not enabled out of their automobiles during filming.
